Emily and Lee

Imagine ten dinner-jacketed groomsmen linking arms with ten bridesmaids to process down a magnificent stone staircase to a pergola of white hydrangea and roses to the sound of Pachelbel’s Canon, followed by the entrance of the bride, the gorgeous Emily, on the arm of her father who handed her over to Lee looking handsome and resplendent in his white tuxedo.

Music played a large part in this ceremony, which was appropriate for a couple that first met by chance twelve years ago at a music festival in the UK. Their wedding certificate was signed to the cheerful sound of Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ and they went back down to the aisle to ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ by Queen and the rapturous applause of their hundred guests.

Music wasn’t the only personalisation that made their ceremony special, they chose to include a sand ceremony at the end with the pouring of sand from Coogee Beach in Australia, where the couple now live, mixed with sand from Mallorca so symbolizing the inseparable union of the couple and memories of their beautiful wedding on Mallorca.

“Thanks again for marrying us!’ wrote Lee, “It was an absolutely amazing day!”
