Often a wedding day has a tinge of sadness when the couple remember someone close – a parent or close family member- who can’t be with them on their special day.

A lantern with a candle burning on the ceremony table and a reading that can be included in the ceremony are a touching way to remember them. We loved this reading which one of our couples included in their ceremony:

For those we have loved and lost along the way,

A flame to remember them burns here today.

For the laughter, smiles and memories remain,

Together today their presence sustains.

Never forgotten and loved forever more,
Today their blessings flicker and soar.
