Brooke and Ivailo’s wedding

Canadian couple, Brooke and Ivailo fell in love with this elegant hilltop finca during their visit to Mallorca and knew it would be the perfect spot to gather family and friends from around the world to celebrate their special day.

They wanted something intimate but sophisticated and the grand entrance, delightful courtyard, lawned terrace with its stone fountain, colourful gardens and panoramic views all fitted the bill beautifully.

For the ceremony, two large floral arrangements stood on each side of the grand finca entrance with a lush mix of creamy roses, willow eucalyptus, olive foliage, lisianthus and baby´s breath.

White chiavari chairs flanked the cream aisle carpet which was lined with a sprinkling of fresh ivory rose petals.

Brooke´s bouquet of champagne and avalanche roses and creamy hortensia was set off with lisianthus and baby´s breath and tied with a soft silk ribbon. The five bridesmaids had smaller bouquets of creamy roses to complement their dresses of blush chiffon.

Ivaillo looked dashing in a white dinner jacket with black trousers while his groomsmen wore black dinner jackets with white trousers and all had small champagne rose buttonholes.

As the guests arrived, drinks were served from vintage-style glass water dispensers on a rustic stand with wooden crates and baskets, decorated with foliage and fresh fruit arranged in gold goblets.

The ceremony was conducted by celebrant Paul who had guided the couple through the process of writing their own vows.

After the delicious cava and canape reception, the guests took their places on the terrace for dinner with the finca as a backdrop and panoramic views of the countryside around.

The dinner tables were set with crystal base plates with a gold rim and lilac water glasses, with centrepieces of gold goblets filled with champagne roses. As evening fell, small LED lights in the fountain created a focal point.

After dinner, the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance to Etta James´s At Last and as a dramatic touch, gas jet fireworks erupted to make a stunning sparkling accompaniment.

Meanwhile, the courtyard was transformed for the night party with white chillout furniture and uplighters. After dinner, the party got underway with a Brazilian band and DJ with live violin playing.
